Managing Alpha-1
A one-hour class specifically designed for individuals diagnosed with Alpha-1 and a partner. People with COPD due to Alpha – 1 should receive all the therapies that anyone diagnosed with COPD would receive including smoking cessation help, pulmonary rehabilitation, long acting bronchodilators, and inhaled corticosteroids and/or supplemental oxygen.
In addition, there is a specific augmentation therapy reserved for those with documented Alpha-1 and COPD. This class will provide the participant with all of the information necessary to live a full active life.
