Asthma Basic Care
Asthma Basic Care is offered as an in-service workshop for school nurses, teachers, coaches, daycare personnel or anyone supervising children with asthma. In this basic course, participants learn the signs and symptoms of asthma, how to recognize an asthma emergency, the types of asthma medications/devises, the importance of Asthma Action Plans and parent communications. Exercise-induced asthma is addressed. Implementation of Act 1694 “Alex’s Law is discussed.
